Transparent information about how to access sessions, what you'll pay, and how referrals work.
Referrals
You do not need a referral to access counselling at More Than Counselling. You are welcome to self-refer and book directly at any time. Alternatively, another professional, such as your GP, specialist, or allied health provider, is able to contact Fionna on your behalf with your consent.
A referral from your GP is not required, but may be beneficial if you wish to claim a rebate through private health insurance or access NDIS-funded support.
Session Fees
The following fees apply to all sessions, whether in person or via telehealth. All fees are reviewed annually and any changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.
NDIS
More Than Counselling is able to work with NDIS participants who are plan managed or self-managed. Services may be funded under the Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing support categories.
- A service agreement will be completed prior to commencement of sessions
- Invoices are issued in line with current NDIS pricing guidelines
- If you are agency managed, please get in touch directly to discuss your situation
Private Health Insurance
You may be eligible for a partial rebate on counselling sessions depending on your level of private health cover and your fund. Rebates vary between providers and are not automatically processed.
Fionna recommends contacting your insurer directly to confirm your entitlements before your first session. You will be required to pay the full session fee at the time of your appointment, and a receipt will be provided for you to claim.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of booking. The following methods are accepted:
- Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard)
- Bank transfer (details provided on invoice)
NDIS participants are invoiced in line with NDIS pricing guidelines rather than paying at the time of booking. A receipt will be provided after every session.
