The Formal Stuff

Terms &
Conditions

The terms under which More Than Counselling provides services, including website use and the professional boundaries that keep our work together safe and clear.

Effective June 2026  ·  More Than Counselling, Australia

About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the More Than Counselling website and to the services provided by Fionna Findley. By booking a session, attending an appointment, or using this website, you agree to these terms.

They are intended to be read alongside the Informed Consent, Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and Referrals & Fees.

About our services

More Than Counselling provides holistic, integrative counselling, nervous system education, and therapeutic movement such as yoga. This work supports your emotional and physical wellbeing and may sit alongside, but does not replace, medical, psychiatric, or other treatment you are receiving.

Counselling is not a crisis or emergency service. Fionna is not available for between-session crisis support and cannot guarantee an immediate response to messages.

If you need urgent help

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 000. For crisis support at any time, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, the Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467, or attend your nearest emergency department.

Scope of practice

Fionna works within the scope of her training and professional ethical guidelines. Counselling does not include the diagnosis of medical or psychiatric conditions, the prescribing of medication, or the provision of legal or medical advice.

Where your needs fall outside this scope, or would be better met elsewhere, Fionna will discuss this with you and, where appropriate, support you to find a suitable referral.

Bookings, fees & payment

Sessions can be booked directly through the client portal or by contacting Fionna. Current fees, NDIS and private health information, and accepted payment methods are set out in the Referrals & Fees policy.

Notice periods, late cancellation fees, no-show charges, and refunds are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Telehealth

Sessions are available in person or via telehealth. If you choose telehealth, you are responsible for having a private, safe space and a reliable internet connection. If a connection is lost, Fionna will attempt to reconnect, and the session will continue for the remaining booked time.

Telehealth may not be appropriate in all circumstances. Fionna will discuss with you whether it is a suitable option for your needs.

Your responsibilities

To support safe and effective work together, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information relevant to your care
  • Attend sessions on time, and give as much notice as possible if you cannot attend
  • Let Fionna know of anything that may affect your safety or the suitability of services
  • Treat the practitioner and any shared spaces with respect

Professional boundaries & communication

The relationship between practitioner and client is a professional one. Contact between sessions is limited to scheduling and the coordination of your care, and is not a substitute for a session or for crisis support.

To protect confidentiality and clear boundaries, Fionna does not engage with clients through personal social media. Email and the client portal are the preferred channels for non-urgent communication.

Confidentiality

What you share is held in strict confidence. The way your information is collected, stored, and protected, and the limited circumstances in which it may be disclosed, are described in the Privacy Policy and Informed Consent.
